AIA DAYTON RECOGNIZES EXCELLENCE IN 2025 DESIGN AWARDS
On Thursday, November 13, the American Institute of Architects, Dayton Chapter held its Focus on Design Awards Celebration at the Benham's Grove Event Center in Centerville.
This salute to design excellence was established to promote and focus attention on Miami Valley architecture firms producing quality and high performance design in adherence to the American Institute of Architect's Framework for Design Excellence.
In Architecture Newly Completed Building, two Honor Awards, and two Honorable Mention Awards were presented:
- JPA Architecture received an Honor Award for the Center for Tissue Innovation & Research in Kettering
- LWC received an Honor award for the Benham's Grove Event Center in Centerville
- LWC received an Honorable Mention Award for the Performing Arts Center in Waynesville
- App Architecture received an Honorable Mention Award for the Washington Township Fire Station 41

In Architecture Projects Under 5,000 SF, one Honor Award and one Merit Award were presented:
- MODA4 Design received an Honor Award for Three Birds restaurant in Dayton
- Earl Reeder Associates, Inc. received a Merit Award for The House on the Hill in Spring Valley

In the Interior Architecture category, one Honor Award and one Merit Award were presented:
- MODA4 Design received an Honor Award for the Material Showroom in Dallas, TX
- LWC received a Merit Award for Contemporary Dayton in Dayton

In Architecture Addition, Renovations and Restorations, two Merit Awards were presented:
- JPA Architecture received a Merit Award for the Seventh-Day Adventist Church Addition in Centerville
- LWC received a Merit Award for Woodland Cemetery & Arboretum in Dayton


In the 25 Year Category, one Honor Award was presented:
- Levin Porter Associates received an Honor Award for the Dayton Art Institute Expansion

The 2025 jury was comprised of representatives from the American Institute of Architects, Grand Rapids Chapter.

AIA Dayton, founded in 1900, has a local membership of approximately 200 members and represents the interests of all registered architects in Dayton, Ohio and the surrounding nine counties.

The American Institute of Architects, Dayton Chapter (AIA Dayton) announced the winners of its 43rd annual Art in Architecture Student Design Competition on April 13, 2024 at an Awards Program at Dayton Public Library, Southeast Branch
2023 Student Design Competition
45 students from 8 area high schools submitted projects for the 2023 competition and attended the awards program in April at the Trotwood Branch of the Dayton Metro Library.
